This type of black powder revolver, 6 shots in the parlance of westerns, is an ideal over-the-counter weapon for learning sport shooting.
The Colt 1851 Navy Rebnord model was used by Confederate (Southerner) troops during the Civil War. Subsequently, this revolver was greatly appreciated by cowboys for its reliability and low weight.
Reloading requires loose black powder, wads, lead bullets, and primers.
