Designed for hunting wild boar and deer , this ammunition offers optimal effectiveness at short and medium ranges. In practice, its consistent trajectory and ability to deliver controlled energy up to 50 meters, a typical distance for driven hunts, are particularly appreciated.
Dual-effect technology: arrow and hammer mass
The internal projectile is bipartite: a central lead shaft ensures deep penetration, while a brass hammer slides along it. Upon impact, the shaft penetrates the material and the hammer expands significantly in the softer zone. This mechanism results in a rapid release of energy and a marked wounding effect, while also promoting excellent retention in the target, even in the case of tangential shots.
Safety and compatibility with smoothbore weapons
The moderate pressure allows for safe passage through standard chokes . The absence of lead fouling helps preserve the barrel's quality over time. Recoil energy, measured at 26 J in a 3 kg shotgun, remains manageable for this level of performance.
